With more than 50 years in the market and a portfolio of 15 global brands, Fluidra was managing New Product Development (NPD) through a rigid platform that limited its operational agility. The core problem was structural. Tasks could not run in parallel. Each department had to wait for the previous one to fully complete its phase before starting its own, which stretched the full development cycle far beyond what the business required.

Beyond the timeline issue, the operation lacked technical autonomy and visibility. Any workflow change required coding skills and direct involvement from IT. That dependency created constant delays and prevented Logistics, Engineering, Procurement, and Marketing from improving their own processes as demand for new products kept rising.

The solution

In 2021, Fluidra adopted Pipefy to centralize its NPD process and remove the need for code. Through structured training sessions, the Logistics team standardized workflows and connected four strategic departments. With Pipefy in place, the team set up automation triggers that activate simultaneous processes across business areas.

Under the new model, the moment Engineering finalizes a new product, Marketing and Procurement automatically start parallel workflows for launch strategy and raw material sourcing. Centralized visibility gave managers full autonomy to customize the platform without IT support, and Fluidra later extended the same tool to air freight approvals and helpdesk tickets.
